The Danish Road Traffic Authority accelerates their digital workplace with a new intranet
Previously, the Danish Road Traffic Authority shared an intranet with the Danish Transport, Construction and Housing Agency. But when the Danish Road Traffic Authority became an independent agency from January 1st, they needed a separate and up-to-date intranet.
"It has been hectic and fun and we are very satisfied with the result of the collaboration," says Lasse Nyhus Mikkelsen, who is project manager at the Danish Transport, Construction and Housing Agency and who has been responsible for the project.
A quick solution, with high quality
The solution is a modern IntraActive Intranet based on SharePoint and Office 365. The intranet contains customized and updated tools from the previous intranet, as well as new functions that together support and streamline the internal communication, knowledge sharing and collaboration opportunities for employees. In addition to a dedicated channel for the Danish Road Traffic Authority’s internal news, the new intranet also contains a site collection where external administrative teams can publish news that is relevant to the Danish Road Traffic Authority’s employees without requiring access to the Danish Road Traffic Authority's intranet.
An ambitious collaboration
Initial work was based on demos, where our consultants gave and visualized recommendations, to achieve the goal of going cloud at the turn of the year. The result of the collaboration is, together with the new platform for internal communication, also adaptation of existing processes, training of superusers, as well as planning and execution of adoption. All for the best possible reception of the new intranet in the organization.
That all of this has been possible in record time testifies to a collaboration between two committed parties, and we are proud that the Danish Road Traffic Authority's new intranet has been launched and well received.
